Sometimes, the parts of ourselves that helped us survive are the very parts that keep us from fully living. Therapy can help you understand those patterns with compassion, heal from what you’ve carried, and create a life that feels more connected, authentic, and your own.

Meet Omarra: Trauma & Relationship Therapist for Adults and Couples in Orange County

Life can look successful on the outside while feeling overwhelming on the inside. Many of the people I work with are carrying the weight of past experiences, navigating difficult relationships, or feeling emotionally exhausted from constantly being the one who holds everything together. My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe enough to slow down, be understood, and begin healing at your own pace.

I specialize in working with adults and couples experiencing trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the lasting effects of childhood experiences. I also enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and strive to create an affirming environment where every client feels respected, valued, and free to be their authentic selves. Whether you're feeling stuck in old patterns, struggling to regulate emotions, or simply longing for deeper peace and connection, therapy can help you understand yourself and create lasting change.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and rooted in genuine curiosity. I am EMDR Basic Trained and integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, person-centered therapy, and strengths-based interventions to help clients better understand the protective patterns that once helped them survive but may now be standing in the way of the life they want to live. Rather than focusing on what's "wrong," I believe healing begins by understanding how your experiences have shaped you and by approaching every part of yourself with compassion, instead of criticism.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most essential factors in healing. I hope that you leave each session feeling heard, challenged, and empowered with practical tools and deeper self-awareness. Every person's story is unique, and I tailor therapy to your individual goals, values, and strengths while honoring your cultural background, identity, and lived experiences.

Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients through life's most difficult moments. Whether your goal is to heal from trauma, strengthen your relationships, reduce anxiety, or reconnect with yourself, I am committed to providing a supportive space where growth, resilience, and meaningful change can take place.
