I offer compassionate therapy for children, teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem, and identity. I believe meaningful healing begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, and my goal is to provide a safe, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences and reconnect with your authentic self.

Meet Maryan: Trauma-Informed & Culturally Responsive Therapist in Orange County

Life's challenges can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, uncertain about the future, or overwhelmed by the weight of anxiety, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. You don't have to face those challenges alone. Therapy offers a space to slow down, gain insight, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been lost beneath stress, self-doubt, or painful experiences.

"The most important relationship in your life is the one you have with yourself." This belief is at the heart of my work as a therapist. I view therapy as a space where individuals can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves through honest conversation, compassionate support, and genuine connection. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, creating an environment where clients feel safe to show up exactly as they are.

I believe every person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and resilience, even during life's most difficult seasons. Rather than focusing on what is "wrong," I strive to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion. Therapy is not about fixing people; it is about creating the conditions where healing can naturally unfold. My style balances warmth with gentle challenge as we explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building insight, emotional resilience, and confidence.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and questions surrounding identity and purpose. Whether you are adjusting to adulthood, managing school or career pressures, navigating family or relationship concerns, or seeking a stronger sense of self, I value the opportunity to walk alongside you during these important seasons.

As an Egyptian American, I strive to create a culturally responsive and inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds feel seen, understood, and respected. I understand how culture, family values, and faith can shape identity, relationships, and mental health, and I value supporting individuals balancing multiple identities or navigating complex family dynamics. For clients who prefer it, I also offer therapy in Arabic.

My therapeutic approach integrates Psychodynamic, Person-Centered, and Attachment-based perspectives, recognizing how early relationships and life experiences continue to shape present-day thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Every client brings a unique story into the room; I customize treatment to fit each person's personal goals, strengths, and needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. I am trained in EMDR and offer this to clients when appropriate.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take off the masks you wear in the outside world. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to help you reconnect with the person you were created to be and support you as you move toward a life marked by authenticity, resilience, and hope. It is a privilege to hold space for clients as they move toward healing, and I am honored to be invited into each person’s story. I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you in the near future.
